Phoenica Beirut, IHG Hotel
A landmark, celebrated ‘grande dame’ hotel in central Beirut, redesigned initially for a private owner, before being acquired by the Intercontinental Hotels Group. The scheme covered the public spaces, centred around the lobby and included spatial design, documentation and FF&E. The brief was to modernise the hotel without in any way compromising its strong character and existing glamour, via a narrow colour range which necessitated the clever use of tonal colouring, textures and layering.
